After watching The Crimson Horror…i had this crazy idea that Clara is…
the Doctor’s wife. His WIFE from Gallifrey, but human. River was never his wife since their wedding happened in an alternate timeline. And it’s that rift in the Medusa Cascade that is allowing Clara to project herself through different periods in time, allowing her to live different lives. What if she’s also looking for the Doctor as well? And the reason why she’s not familiar with 11th is that she’s married to the 1st Doctor…and they both had a granddaughter named Susan…

At the very least, she’ll have a faint idea of what the Doctor’s name is or know it but it’s at the tip of her tongue, just like Amy after the Doctor reset the universe. But that timeline was indeed erased.
I certainly agree. I have this tiiiiiny idea that Clara might be a result of a time rift in the Medusa Cascade. She might actually be a projection of a surviving timelord! But it won’t explain her parents though. :)

Again, you keep on underestimating the companions that the Doctor chooses. When the Doctor told that android “don’t forget this” it showed in the end that the android did remember what happened in that timeline, especially with how he treated his brother. When it comes to Clara, the Doctor told her to forget it, but of course, knowing Clara, she’s as stubborn as she’s feisty. Besides, she’s the only companion who has ever punched the Doctor…twice! She doesn’t do what she’s told, and she’s the only one who asks the right questions to the Doctor. Also, we still haven’t fully known her, so there’s a possibility that she possesses an ability that those other Clara’s possess. I mean, what’s the point of the series finale if Clara did forget the Doctor’s name? She’s the one who knows the Doctor’s name, and not River Song. She’ll be the one to save him in the Fields of Trenzalore. :)

Aha! But you totally forgot that that android guy remembered what the Doctor said of having some decency…which means, Clara might remember it, but keeping it quiet. Especially with the fact that the Doctor remembers everything that had happened to them inside the TARDIS. Time can be re-written, but not memories—as Amy Pond proved in the Big Bang. Which leads to my theory that Clara will be the one to save the Doctor in the Fields of Trenzalore, saving him from the order of The Silence probably in the series finale. :)
